Rohlik's unique business model focuses on sustainability, along with proprietary technology and data-driven processes. Specifically in the area of sustainability, Rohlik has launched a host of initiatives, including: CNG powered cars, electrical delivery vehicles with the intention of a fully electric fleet being in operation by 2025, cargo bikes, reusable and eco-packaging (products with returnable packaging and 100% environmentally friendly produced products), an innovative "Save the food program" to sell out pre-expiry products, elimination of chemicals in food, e.g. use of "Apeel" natural-based coating of fruit, reduction of CO2 footprint with tree planting programs and most recently, the introduction of reusable bags. 
This sustainable and holistic vision of eating and living well also includes  concrete support on the ground of local farmers and producers, be it in marketing, logistics or simply ensuring prompt payment of invoices, helping them to sell their products more effectively online to a wider customer base. This shortening of the farm-to-fork supply chain ensures European customers can access fresher, local and more authentic food, faster.

Rohlik’s end-to-end customer experience is based on effective use of technology and data and its own fulfilment centre and logistics management systems ensuring delivery routes are both environmentally efficient and best suited for individual customer deliveries. This is supported by real-time customer communication via an app designed specifically for this purpose. The result? Customers have delivered a world-class Net Promoter Score of 70% in all countries.

Growth has been rapid from its home base in the Czech Republic, with operations commencing in Hungary in 2019, Austria in 2020, Germany in 2021 and now Italy and Romania during Q1 2022, with Spain to follow. With turnover exceeding €300 million in 2020 representing 101% CAGR, the group already serves more than 850,000 satisfied customers across four international markets.

2021 has been a year of firsts, be it new markets being opened up, implementation of reusable bags or a display of investor confidence with funding of EUR 290 mil., launching Rohlik into the select club of the fastest-growing European startups to achieve "unicorn" status (and first in the Czech Republic), with a valuation of over $1 billion. The investment reflects strong demand from existing shareholders to invest in the company, and belief in the vision of its founder, Tomáš Čupr, who has grown a formerly Czech start-up into a European trend-setting technology leader with a growing presence across the continent. Monies raised will be used to drive further growth and enhancements to services for customers, deployment of tech innovations and rapid expansion both within existing European markets as well as other international markets.
